UK DRI Research Themes Project Manager (Maternity Cover)
Please note: Chrysia-Maria is providing maternity cover for Sarmi Sri from July 2021
Roles & Responsibilities: Coordinate communication and knowledge sharing between researchers across all the UK DRI centres; managing theme budgets and membership; organising meetings, workshops and events which promote a strong working relationship, both between UK DRI researchers and the wider community.
Chrysia-Maria joined the UK DRI in June 2021 as a Research Theme Project Manager. Prior to this role, she was a Postdoc at the University of Sussex in Prof Leon Lagnado’s group working on a project in collaboration with Janssen Pharmaceutica. During her postdoc she also served as the Early Career Researcher representative for the ARUK South Coast Network and Sussex Neuroscience.
Following completion of her BSc in Biomedical Science from King’s College London, Chrysia-Maria undertook an MSc in Clinical Neuroscience at University College London. She completed her PhD at the University of Southampton where she investigated synaptic dysfunction processes in Alzheimer’s disease and during ageing.
Chrysia-Maria is a keen cook and loves discovering new culinary hotspots! She also enjoys long walks on the South Downs.
