UK DRI Research Themes Project Manager
Roles & Responsibilities: Coordinate communication and knowledge sharing between researchers across all the UK DRI centres; managing theme budgets and membership; organising meetings, workshops and events which promote a strong working relationship, both between UK DRI researchers and the wider community.
Lindsey joined UK DRI in December 2020 following two years as a Portfolio Manager in the Neuroscience & Mental Health team at Wellcome. In this role she managed the Cellular & Molecular Neuroscience research portfolio, including advising applicants on grant applications. She also led on strategic projects in Neuroimmunology, Fatigue, and identifying public and patient priorities for research.
Lindsey holds BA Physiological Sciences from the University of Oxford and an MSc Neuroscience from King's College London. She completed her PhD investigating the regeneration of neurons related to Parkinson's disease in adult zebrafish at the University of Edinburgh. In her new role as Research Themes Project Manager Lindsey will primarily be responsible for the Neuroinflammation and DNA Repair themes.
Lindsey's interests include travel, cryptic crosswords, and long walks in the countryside around where she lives.
