The Neuroscience School of Advanced Studies and the UK DRI proudly announce the Advanced Course on Neuroinflammation and Neurodegeneration.
This Advanced Course will dive deep into the rapidly evolving field of inflammation in neurodegeneration, from various perspectives, including (1) human genomics and neuroimmune/neuroglial crosstalk at the synapse and across the brain’s borders and (2) the contribution of glia and immune cells to aggregate formation and neuronal dysfunction, two hallmarks of neurodegeneration. The Course will also explore avenues to targeting these processes in the clinic.
The course Director is Dr Soyon Hong (UK DRI at UCL), and the confirmed Faculty includes Bart De Strooper (UK DRI), Alison Goate (NYU), Florent Ginhoux (Gustave Roussy Hospital), Baljit Khakh (UCLA), Joseph Lewcock (Denali Therapeutics) and Patrik Versteken (VIK & KU).
Applications are open to researchers from all career stages.
Admissions are on a rolling basis, with weekly evaluation of applications until all places are taken (maximum 50 participants).
