Meet the team

I-Chun Lin

"With this role, I know that the energy and effort I pour into my work will make a direct impact on tackling one of the biggest health issues facing society. That alone is hugely rewarding." I-Chun Lin
UK DRI Scientific Officer

Roles & Responsibilities: scientific event planning, training/career development, periodic reporting

I-Chun joined the UK DRI as Scientific Officer in September 2019, following six years at UCL as a Research Associate. In that role, she studied coordinated activity of neuronal populations in the visual system, performing large-scale electrophysiological recordings with optogenetics, analysing and modelling the acquired data.

I-Chun holds a MSci degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge. She obtained a PhD in Computational Chemistry from EPFL and has nearly 15 years of research experience, including ~9 years in systems neuroscience. Her research focused on describing complex, high-dimensional systems using mathematical models.

I-Chun is a theatre enthusiast, loves her food and whisky, and spends her spare time reading and populating her flat with (too many) plants.
