Meet the team

Raffaella Nativio

"My team and I investigate the epigenetic drivers of age-related neurodegeneration. With its multidisciplinary approach to dementia research, the UK DRI provides an ideal environment for our research, and we are thrilled to be part of it." Raffaella Nativio
UK DRI Affiliated PI

Dr Raffaella Nativio obtained her PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Cambridge, where she worked on 3D genome conformation in genomic imprinting. During her postdoctoral studies in the laboratory of Dr Shelley Berger at the University of Pennsylvania, she pioneered research into epigenetic pathways of healthy ageing and neurodegeneration, which she continues to explore in her new research programme as UK DRI Affiliated PI at the UK DRI at Imperial.
