Lord and Lady Fink’s donation to UCL supports the realisation of a new building that will be the home of the UK DRI at UCL – designed for, and dedicated entirely to, translational neuroscience.

Lord and Lady Fink’s donation to UCL supports the realisation of a new building that will be the home of the UK DRI at UCL – designed for, and dedicated entirely to, translational neuroscience.
The Wolfson Foundation has long-supported neuroscience research at UCL. Following the £20 million legacy gift to establish the Leonard Wolfson Experimental Neurology Centre, they have awarded a further £2 million to help create a world-leading neuroscience centre that will house the UK DRI at UCL, tackling dementia from every angle.

Find out moreSir Malcolm Walker CBE, Founder and Executive Chairman of Iceland Foods, launched the UCL Dementia Retail Partnership by galvanising support from fellow retailers for the UK DRI at UCL. Iceland Foods has donated £10 million of the total £20 million funds raised through this partnership.
Find out moreNatalie and Fiona decided to support the work of the UK DRI after sadly witnessing the terrible effects of dementia first hand with their beloved Mum and the impact it had on them as a family. Determined to help defeat dementia, they staged a charity ball, donating a staggering £120,000. This very generous gift is now being put to work researching better treatments for the future – a fantastic tribute to their Mum.
Insurance United Against Dementia is an Alzheimer’s Society campaign bringing together the insurance industry to drive awareness of dementia and raise crucial funds for research and support. Since its launch in July 2017, individuals and firms have raised £6.8 million to transform the lives of people with dementia. Over £1.5m of this total has been donated to the UK DRI.
Find out moreThe Dementia Revolution campaign led by Alzheimer’s Research UK and Alzheimer’s Society saw over 2,000 runners take to the capital for the London Marathon in 2019. The total Dementia Revolution campaign has, to date, raised a total of £3.4m to support pioneering research at the UK DRI.
Find out moreVirgin Money and CYBG raised a record breaking £330,000 for the UK DRI through the Dementia Revolution campaign. Colleagues helped to power ground-breaking dementia research, overthrow old attitudes and lead the charge towards a cure. The Dementia Revolution – which saw Alzheimer’s Society and Alzheimer's Research UK join forces – was the most successful Charity of the Year partnership in Virgin Money’s history.
Find out moreThe Lockton Charity was established in 2016 as part of the journey of the Lockton corporate and social responsibility program which concentrates on community, charity and the environment. In 2018 the Lockton fundraising reached its £1m donation mark and over £200k was raised in the same year for donation to the Alzheimer’s Society to fund research into the cause, care and cure of dementia.
