Biography
Diana Benítez is a Project Coordinator who manages the operational delivery of multi-investigator translational research programmes. Holding a PhD in Neuroscience from University College London, where she investigated the role of microglia in synaptic transmission and early amyloidopathy in Alzheimer's disease models, she brings a combination of scientific understanding and professional research management expertise to her role.
Diana joined the UK DRI at Imperial in 2021 as the Multi-omics Atlas Project officer and currently she oversees the Michael Uren Foundation Translational Projects for Alzheimer's Research, managing milestone tracking, financial reporting, governance compliance, and stakeholder engagement across multiple Principal Investigators. She serves as Human Tissue Authority Person Designated at the Imperial White City campus, holds a Good Clinical Practice certification, and is currently completing her PRINCE2 Project Management Foundations certificate.
