Biography
A third year Neuroscience with Professional Training Year (PTY) student at Cardiff University, currently completing a PTY at Blanca Diaz-Castro's UK DRI lab at Edinburgh University, which is to last 9 months. I excel in communication, teamwork, customer service, content creation and student engagement skills and have a breadth of experience in organising charity events, managing social medias and public speaking, thriving in fast-paced environments and enjoying helping others. I pride myself in maintaining a mature and level-headed mindset and continuously strive to improve and gain transferable skills and connect with more people within Neuroscience to leave university with a breadth of experience and knowledge within this field of research.
Having had experience working in the Edinburgh UK DRI lab before university, as well as contributing to community engagements through my roles as head student at school and SFA at Cardiff University, I pride myself in the opportunities I take and the networking I have already achieved. For example, I was invited to speak as a panellist on a national UK DRI conference of over 500 people, after completing my first placement with Blanca in year 12.
