Biography
Roles & Responsibilities: Support translational sciences and activities; innovation portfolio management – IP and commercialisation, including licensing and spin-out formation; industry partnerships and collaborations.
Ilaria joined UK DRI in April 2026, she previously worked as Business Development Associate at Cancer Research Horizons, where she managed the translation of technologies arising from Cancer Research UK–funded research. Before that, she was a Research Analyst at UCL Business and a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Dundee in Miratul Muquit’s lab, where her research focused on the PINK1 pathway in Parkinson’s disease.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology and an MSc in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology from the University of Bologna, and a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Dundee.
