Biography
Roles and responsibilities: A key strategic and operational leadership role at the UK DRI at Cambridge, managing the interface between the UK DRI Core Team, the Centre and the department to support the strategic aims of all parties in close collaboration with the Centre Director, Laboratory Manager, Core Support Team, Centre Group Leaders, Centre staff and students, UK DRI Core Team and other Centre Managers.
Jack joined the UK DRI at Cambridge as Centre Manager in 2022. Prior to this role, he worked in a research grants and project management role at the University of Hertfordshire, where he was responsible for the delivery of a wide range of public health and community care research projects and contracts across multiple funding bodies.
As UK DRI at Cambridge Centre Manager, Jack oversees the day to day running of the Centre, encompassing strategic leadership, financial oversight, and operational management. His responsibilities include supporting the Director in planning and strategy, managing research grants and finances, overseeing staffing, equipment, and compliance, as well as leading health and safety, IT, and quality assurance initiatives, while ensuring smooth collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
