Biography

Dr Samuel Gibbon is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Medical Informatics, where he uses retinal imaging to investigate brain health and neurological disease. He completed his PhD in Clinical Brain Science at The University of Edinburgh as part of the EastBio programme, taking a multidisciplinary approach that combines computational methods, artificial intelligence, and biomedical science to identify early indicators of conditions such as dementia. Alongside his academic work, he has contributed to research at University of Cambridge and explored the potential of AI-driven medical imaging through innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives.
