Update: 21 July 2020
Dear UK DRI Colleagues,
After discussing the options with representatives at the venue marked for Connectome 2020, we have, sadly, concluded that an in-person meeting in Brighton in October is not feasible.
In reaching this decision we took into account current government guidance on large gatherings, our universities’ travel policies, concerns from some UK DRI members about traveling and congregating, and the venue’s inability to confirm that they could host a safe and social distanced meeting.
We would however like to keep the 14-16 October 2020 time in the diary and use it to host a series of virtual events. Although this will necessarily be a much-modified and shorter Connectome 2020, we still think it is important to bring the UK DRI together to share some excellent science, discussion and perhaps a bit of fun. We will work on the programme in the coming weeks and share it with you when it is ready.
We are very sorry not to be seeing you in person in Brighton later this year. But we will make the best of the situation and look forward to seeing you on screen.
Best wishes,
Bart & Adrian
