The UK DRI Friday Forum is a bi-weekly series featuring informal workshops/presentations/Q&A/discussions on various topics ranging from grant writing, research translation to hot science!

ECR Monthly Meeting (June)

These monthly informal meetings allow UK DRI Early Career Researchers to troubleshoot their research, find new collaborators, and help us all stay in touch and up to date with each other’s work. During each session two or three ECRs will give short (~15 min) presentations followed by time for questions and suggestions. June speakers include:

  • “Alterations to microglia cell function by Alzheimer’s Disease Protective Plcg2 Variant P522R” - Thomas Philips (Cardiff)
  • "A ruffled brain makes a restless pillow - what can sleep tell us about memory, mental health and neurodegeneration?" - Ullrich Bartsch (Care Research &Technology)
  • “The role of the FET proteins in minor intron splicing” - Tatjana Zoller (King’s)

Friday 19 June, 12:00 - 13:00 BST

This event is open to UK DRI researchers and support staff only. Registration and associated Zoom links will be distributed via Centre Manager emails nearer the time of the event.
