• Why we use a microscope
• Anatomy of the microscope
• Kohler Illumination
• Contrast methods in transmitted light microscopy
• An introduction to fluorescence microscopy
• Basic microscopy image acquisition

This is aimed at those that are new to microscopy, or those that would like a refresher on the basics.
