The MND community deserves nothing less than a laser focus on research to drive progress towards greater understanding of this devastating disease.

Funding for targeted Motor Neurone Disease (MND) research will boost our efforts to beat it, and this investment by the government is a positive step on that journey.

At the UK DRI, we are committed to relentlessly investigating the drivers of neurodegenerative diseases and stopping them in their tracks. We are proud that this year our MND experts worked closely with the MND Association, My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, LifeArc and others to develop the MND Collaborative Partnership.

The government’s investment will build upon our longstanding MND research programme, which is one of the largest and most productive in the UK. Sustained, concentrated research is vital to finding treatments and offering new hope to the thousands of people affected by MND, their carers and loved ones.
