Alex joined the UK DRI in March 2019, following two years at the British Neuroscience Association. In that broad role, he was responsible for website management, communication with a network of neuroscientists across the UK and school visits delivering tailored science education programme to students of all ages.
Having completed a BSc in Biomedical Sciences (2011-13) from the University of Southampton, Alex continued higher education, and attained a PhD on the subject of neuroinflammation in dementia (2013-17). As Research Communications Manager, Alex engages with researchers from diverse disciplines and helping them translate their work for a wider audience.
