UK DRI Research Communications Manager
Roles & Responsibilities: Internal communications, researcher engagement, content creation, brand management, communication channels (e.g. Portal, website, social media, newsletter)
Alex joined the UK DRI in March 2019, following two years at the British Neuroscience Association. In that broad role, he was responsible for website management, communication with a network of neuroscientists across the UK and school visits delivering tailored science education programme to students of all ages.
Having completed a BSc in Biomedical Sciences (2011-13) from the University of Southampton, Alex continued higher education, and attained a PhD on the subject of neuroinflammation in dementia (2013-17). As Research Communications Manager, Alex is looking forward to engaging with researchers from diverse disciplines and helping them translate their work for a wider audience.
Alex’s interests include photography and devoting an unhealthy amount of his time to supporting Liverpool Football Club.
