Biography
Roles & Responsibilities: Facilitating knowledge sharing between UK DRI researchers at all levels, driving events and initiatives, engaging with external stakeholders
Ruby joined the UK DRI in July 2023, following three years at the charity Ataxia UK. In her previous role, she advanced the organisation’s strategic research priorities through research grant management and research communications.
Ruby holds a BSc in Medical Sciences with Professional Training Year from the University of Exeter and an MSc in Neuroscience from the University of Oxford. Following this, she completed a PhD at the University of Sheffield focusing on mitochondrial dysfunction in Parkinson’s disease. As Research Themes Project Manager, Ruby facilitates knowledge sharing and collaboration across the UK DRI through coordination of initiatives and events.
