UK DRI Central Team Coordinator

Roles and responsibilities: Administration of the UK DRI office, event planning and providing support to the central team.

Sashika joined the UK DRI in March 2023 after over two years at the Parkinson’s and multiple sclerosis tissue bank at Imperial College London where she worked as an administrator. In this varied role, she was also responsible for arranging tissue donations, database management and tissue dissection. Prior to this role, Sashika spend over seven years working at the London neurodegenerative diseases brain bank at Kings College London, as a tissue bank coordinator.

Sashika completed her BSc in Neuroscience from the University of Manchester. In 2019 she published her first paper in the journal of neural transmission ‘Comparison of clinical and neuropathological diagnoses of neurodegenerative diseases in two centres from the Brains for Dementia Research (BDR) cohort’.

Outside of work, Sashika loves playing netball in social leagues, swimming, and baking cakes.
