Biography

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for all aspects of the Centre’s day-to-day operations
  • Supporting the Centre Director with implementing the delivery of the Centre’s Strategic Objectives
  • Financial management of the UK DRI Centre budgets including oversight of strategic grants
  • Management of Centre records to meet monitoring and reporting requirements
  • Oversight of seminars, events and public engagement opportunities
  • Managing Centre personnel/HR matters including recruitment and retention of Centre staff
  • Co-ordination and development of large strategic research bids
  • Supporting researchers with contract management issues

Tina has over 30 years experience working with the public, private and higher education sectors. She joined Cardiff University in 2019, working within two Social Science research institutes, before joining the UK DRI at Cardiff as a Centre Manager in September 2021. With a background in funding, Tina worked as a Funding Manager with the Big Lottery Fund for 12 years where she was responsible for the development and delivery of large scale grant programmes. Prior to this, she spent 14 years working as a Town Planner within the Planning and Regeneration teams at Cardiff Council. Tina is an accredited facilitator and has a particular interest in community engagement and partnership development.
