Biography
Dr Rebecca Graham is a CSO Fellow in Professor Siddharthan Chandran's lab, where she integrates clinical datasets with stem cell models to accelerate translational drug discovery. Her research uses transcriptomics and computational approaches to identify novel therapeutics and biomarkers for motor neuron disease.
Rebecca began her research career at AstraZeneca (2014–2015) in high-throughput screening, before completing a Master’s degree at the University of St Andrews (2015–2016) focused on Alzheimer’s disease therapeutics. She completed her PhD at the MRC Institute of Genetics and Cancer (2021) with Professor Neil Carragher, applying high-content profiling to drug discovery and patient stratification in oesophageal adenocarcinoma. She subsequently held an MRC Transition Fellowship (2021–2022), combining imaging, functional genomics, and machine learning to study liver regeneration, before joining Professor Sidharthan Chandran’s lab (2022).
