Coinciding with the launch of the Epilepsy Research Institute (ERI) in October 2023, an in-person roundtable workshop with ERI was organised in January 2024, bringing together the epilepsy and dementia research communities to identify possible common mechanisms and identify gaps in the field that need to be addressed to validate this link as an important scientific direction.
