Members of the UK DRI Vascular thematic network

The UK DRI Vascular thematic network was established in Feb 2020 and is led by Prof Joanna Wardlaw (UK DRI at Edinburgh) and Dr Axel Montagne (UK DRI at Edinburgh).

The strengths and expertise of the UK DRI Vascular thematic network include:

  • Endothelial & vascular biology (Montagne, Wardlaw, Williams, Hunt), including cell-cell communication with neighbouring neurogliovascular cells (Diaz-Castro, Montagne, Williams); neuroimmunology (McColl, Morgan, Hong) and (epi)genomic (Nott, Webber, Matthews)
  • Vascular-relevant models (Vascular Models Database)
  • In vivo imaging methods (Busche, Montagne, Wardlaw)
  • In vivo electrophysiology recording (Busche, Gan, Williams)
  • Range of molecular biology, genetic, & multi’omics methods (Webber, Diaz-Castro, McColl, Montagne, Nott, Williams)
